India Yamaha Motor (IYM) today announced the launch of the World GP 60th Anniversary Edition of YZF R15M in the domestic market at a price of Rs. 1,88,300 (former showroom, New Delhi). The Japanese two-wheeler giant has given the iconic white and red ‘Speed Block’ color scheme as a throwback to the past and the brand’s achievement in the GP world.

Some of the visual highlights are the gold colored alloy wheels, the Yamaha factory race-bike gold tuning fork symbol, the black lever and the special commemorative badge on the fuel tank. The 60th anniversary edition of the World GP YZF R15M is also reminiscent of Yamaha’s first Grand Prix race. Without any change in performance, the Fired Supersport is equipped with a 155 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled four-stroke SOHC engine.

It produces a maximum power output of 8.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The fuel-injected mill with variable valve actuation (VVA) technology is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Also, the list of features is similar to the regular YZF-R15M because it comes with R1-inspired LCD instrument console with traction control, quickshifter, golden USD fork, Bluetooth connectivity, gear position indicator, track and street display modes.
