M&M has a few new electric passenger cars in the pipeline right now, and here, we’ve listed the ones we know about.
Mahindra & Mahindra is working on a number of new electric vehicles for the Indian market The manufacturer has released some of these, and a few more have been officially teased. With these, M&M plans to challenge Tata Motors’ dominance in the Indian electric vehicle market.
Here, we have listed all the upcoming Mahindra electric vehicles that we know are expected to be launched in India in the next few years.
1. Mahindra eKUV100
The Mahinda eKUV100 appeared in a near-production incarnation at the 2020 Auto Expo, but the electric crossover has not yet been sold. It has been seen several times during road tests and is expected to go on sale later this year. It is expected to offer around 250km of driving range, still maintaining a sub-10-lakh-rupee price tag. According to reports it could be launched as the next generation e2o.
2. Mahindra XUV400
M&M is also working on an electronic version of the XUV300, named XUV400 or eXUV300, which is expected to make its debut early next year. The manufacturer will unveil three electric SUV concepts in July this year, one of which will be this one. If true, the XUV400 will not share its architecture with the IC engine-powered XUV300 (unlike what was shown at Auto Expo 2020), as it will be based on the ‘Born’ platform.
3. Mahindra eXUV700
Based on the Born EV platform, M&M will launch the equivalent of the XUV700 in India. This upcoming electric SUV will be highly technologically advanced, having the same dual-screen setup as the XUV700, as revealed in a teaser. We hope it offers a lot of benefits and security features.
4. Mahindra XUV900 Coupe SUV
One of the three congenital electric SUV TZs is a coupe-style SUV 7 We already know that the domestic UV manufacturer is working on a coupe version of the XUV700, which is expected to be named XUV900, and this seems to be its electrical equivalent. Not much is known about it yet, but we expect this electric SUV coupe to be more premium than the eXUV700.
