Tata is working to increase production of its zero-emission vehicles to meet demand; Over 5,500 to 6,000 bookings have been made for EVs in the last two months

According to a recent report on the Internet, the domestic manufacturer wants to increase production of its zero-emissions vehicle to meet demand. Over the past two months, Tata has made between ,500 5,500 and ,000 6,000 bookings for its electric range

In an interview, Shailesh Chandra, managing director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle and Electric Vehicle, said that the demand for EVs was significantly higher than the supply. He added that the company was able to supply about 3,300 to 3,400 units in March 2022. Thus, the backlog exists due to the strong demand reflected in the conservation for EVs.

Tata Semiconductor is working to increase production by increasing the talk of components while design changes and talk from different vendors have helped to increase the availability of essential components. He explained that only 600 units were launched seven months ago and the changes in sourcing increased production to 1,700 units and then to 3,500 units.2021 Tata Tiger Electric-6Tata market share in the passenger electric vehicle segment was only 85 per cent in 2021-22 and sales of EVs could contribute 30 per cent to overall sales by the end of this decade. The brand recently unveiled the Curvv concept and will build an electric SUV coupe in the midsize division over the next two years.

Upon arrival, it may compete with the upcoming Maruti-Toyota midsize electric SUV, and electric SUVs from Mahindra and other brands. Tata will launch the long-range Nexon EV with a larger battery pack and claims a driving range of about 400 km on a single charge on April 20, 2022 while another announcement regarding EV space is waiting to be seen on April 28, 2022.Tata Nexon EVPrior to the launch of production-spec Tata Curvv based on the Generation 2 platform, two more IC-engine-based EVs are expected to be in the pipeline.
