The BMW X4 M Sport Silver Shadow is available in India with two engine options – a 3.0L inline-6 turbo diesel unit and a 2.0L inline-4 turbo-petrol unit.
BMW has launched ‘M Sport Silver Shadow Edition’ of X4 in the Indian market. The Special Edition Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) changes somewhat like the standard BMW X4 with a chrome highlighted front grille with chrome highlights. The rear bumper now features a new Avil-shaped inlay (with chrome finish), larger tailpipe and update reflectors.
Smooth LED headlamps and LED taillamps continue to be offered here with an automatic tailgate. We also see red brake calipers, which add a sporty feel to the SUV. The distinctive coupe-style sloping roof line is also maintained, thus preserving the overall sporty feel of the vehicle.
The new BMW X4 Silver Shadow has three color options, Carbon Black, Phytonic Blue and Alpine White. The cabin of this special edition SAC has a mocha color theme with leather Vernaska upholstery, with ‘M’ aluminum rhombic dark interior trim with pearl chrome finish.
The Silver Shadow version of the BMW X4 is available in two variants – xDrive30i and xDrive30d – priced at Rs. 71.90 lakhs and Rs. 73.90 lakhs (former showroom) respectively, it will be produced locally at the BMW Group plant in Chennai, which has helped to reduce costs and is being booked online at shop.bmw.in.
The xDrive30i variant is powered by a twin-turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine with 252 PS and 350 Nm tapping. According to the manufacturer’s official claim, it can go from stagnant to 100 kilometers per hour in just 6.6 seconds, which is very impressive for a car of this weight.
Underneath the hood of the xDrive30d variant is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter diesel mill that delivers 265 PS and 620 Nm of power. It can go from 0-100 kmph in just 5.8 seconds of claimed time! Combined with both powerplant 8-speed automatic transmissions, pedal shifters are available behind the steering wheel.
