Maruti Suzuki collected a total of 1,70,395 units in March 2022 with a maximum monthly export of 26,496 units.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) today announced that it has sold a total of 1,70,395 units in March 2022, including 1,37,658 units of domestic sales, 6,241 units sold to an OEM and the all-time highest monthly 26,496 units. Export. In FY2022, the country’s largest carmaker recorded 16,52,653 units, with YoY volume growth of 13.4 percent.

Total domestic sales include 13,65,370 units, with Toyota having a maximum export volume of 48,907 units and 2,38,376 units. The Indo-Japanese brand noted that it has taken all possible measures to reduce the impact of the global chip deficit, which affected production in the last financial year. MSIL further stated that the situation remained unpredictable.

In March 2022, 15,491 units were posted in the Maruti Suzuki Mini Range, comprising Alto and S-Presso, as against 24,653 units in the same period of 2021. The compact range comprising Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S and Wagon R achieved 82,314 units, an increase of 82,201 units per year in March 2021.

The UV portfolio composed by Ertiga, XL6, Vitara Brezza and S-Cross has managed 25,001 units against 26,174 units in the same period of 2021, with YoY volume per cent decrease.

Eeco recorded sales of 9,221 units as against 11,547 units where sales decreased by a percentage as a total of 1,33,861 passenger car sales were sold against sales of 1,46,203 units per annum. In the LCV space, Maruti Suzuki has sold 3,797 units of the Super Carry, a year-on-year increase in sales compared to 3,315 units in March 2021.

Maruti Suzuki has rolled out a roll in recent months as new vehicles have been launched, including the new-gen Celerio, Celerio CNG, Dzire CNG, the updated WagonR and the heavier facelifted Baleno. In April 2022, the updated Ertiga and XL6 will be launched when a completely-new medium-sized SUV, built in partnership with the thoroughly modified Vitara Brezza, Toyota, is in the pipeline for this year.
