The Imparato Electric X5 is described as the next flagship of the Alfa Romeo. BMW sold approximately 60,000 X5s in the United States in 2021, with only 24,500 5-Series sedans sold, indicating that the Alfa Romeo is planning to be the flagship of an SUV as opposed to a sedan.
