In the Indian car market, the demand for 6/7-seater cars continues to grow. MPVs fit the bill perfectly and there are plenty of options for buyers these days. However, thanks to rising car prices, many of them will not fit into a tight budget!

Here, we have listed five of the most affordable MPVs in the Indian market that will serve as gorgeous family cars.

1. Datsun Go Plus

Price: Rs. 4.25 lakhs to Rs. 6.99 lakhs

Datsun Go Plus is a very low quality MPV; For the price, it gives a lot of space and comfort, but it is not popular among buyers. Below the hood, it has a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 68 PS (77 PS in CVT version) and a maximum torque of 104 Nm. Transmission options here include a 5-speed MT and a CVT.

2. Renault Tribe

Price: Rs. 5.76 lakhs to Rs. 8.32 lakhs

The Renault Tribe, on the other hand, is fairly popular in the Indian market, with its low price tag and low running cost, decent cabin space and good comfort. It is powered by a 1.0-liter NA petrol motor (71 PS / 96 Nm), which can come with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.

3. Maruti Ertiga

Price: Rs. 8.12 lakhs to Rs. 10.85 lakhs

Maruti Ertiga is currently the best selling MPV in the Indian market. It gets a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine, which generates 105 PS and 138 Nm with a light-hybrid system on offer. It can be with a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT. There is also a CNG option available (92 PS and 122 Nm when running on CNG), which combines only with a 5-speed manual gearbox, but does not receive light-hybrid support.


4. Kia Karens

Price: Rs. 8.99 lakhs to Rs. 16.99 lakhs

Kia’s new vehicle for the Indian market – Carens – is a great value for money product, offering lots of features and great interior space, at a great price too! There are three engine options available – a 1.5L NA petrol unit (115 PS / 144 Nm), a 1.4L turbo-petrol unit (140 PS / 242 Nm), and a 1.5L turbo-diesel unit (115 PS / 250). Nm).

A 6-speed manual transmission is available in all three engines, while the automatic transmission choice consists of a 7-speed DCT in the 1.4L petrol engine and a 6-speed AT in the 1.5L diesel engine.

5. Maruti XL6

Price: Rs. 10.14 lakhs to Rs. 12.02 lakhs

The Maruti XL6 is basically a 6-seater, the premium version of the Ertiga, with some styling changes. It is powered by the same 1.5L petrol engine (105 PS / 138 Nm) as the Ertiga, with the same transmission options – a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT – with a light-hybrid system. Although there is no CNG option on offer.
