The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 is expected to have minor external and internal updates; It will be powered by a new 1.5-liter K15C petrol engine

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched several new ones this month as the updated Ertiga and XL6 are expected to launch next week. The XL6 receives a more premium Ertiga with a mid-range captain seating arrangement and is only retailed through Ciaz, S-Cross, Baleno and Ignis as well as through Nexa Premium dealerships.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 has been teased online because of a seven-second teaser video titled “Indulgence is coming” with a bird’s eye view of the MPV in the left corner. Pre-booking of the updated Ertiga has started across approved Arena showrooms and online and is expected to announce it soon for the Maruti Suzuki XL6.

The XL6 will have minor visual changes compared to the outgoing model to extend the lifespan of the current generation. Going by spy pictures, it will have an updated grille and other minor fixes. The interior is expected to undergo subtle changes when a seven-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system is available in top-end variants.

It can enable attached features and possibly provide new seat upholstery. For performance, a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder K15C petrol engine will replace the 1.5-liter four-cylinder K15B light-hybrid petrol mill that produces a maximum of 104.7 PS of power output and 138 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. 4,400 rpm.

The new powertrain will probably produce 10 PS more power and will be paired with a five-speed manual transmission like the K15B motor as standard. However, the four-speed torque converter automatic unit will be opted out as an alternative to a new six-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifting function.

We expect the Indo-Japanese manufacturer to sell the 2022 XL6 with new exterior colors to further increase interest among customers. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6 will be followed by the new Brezza around June when a brand new medium-sized five-seater SUV built in collaboration with Toyota will be launched later this year.
